A warm welcome to this year’s new trainees: Come and join us, get involved and grow!

Lemgo, 2 September, 2025

For 15 new talents, August marks the start of their professional careers at Brasseler: 13 trainees and two students on dual study programs started their training with a structured welcome week. They got to know the company, gained insights into key processes and bonded as a group. Later in the month, they expanded their knowledge in a hands-on workshop lasting several days. This creates an environment that combines professional development and personal orientation right from the start.

Since 1944, Brasseler has been committed to providing high-quality training, as evidenced by the many good and very good, if not excellent, qualifications achieved by its trainees. In order to turn trainees into qualified specialists and counteract the general decline in applicant numbers, we are actively adapting our strategy of developing young people to meet the challenges of the times. With the opening of the Brasseler Academy this year, the company has invested in an environment that supports knowledge transfer with state-of-the-art technical equipment, for example in the fields of pneumatics and programming. Premises based on the New Work concept invite collaborative learning and exchange, thus creating perfect conditions for students to be open to new approaches and actively participate in shaping a working world based on the principles of lean management.

In order to grow together as a team, our new trainees took part in shared experiences during Welcome Week: getting to know the company, geocaching through Lemgo, icebreaker games, and practical introductions helped to create a sense of togetherness while having lots of fun.

In a workshop lasting several days, the young people explored Brasseler and the demands of the working world. The results were presented to managers and training officers in team presentations.

A strong foundation for a shared learning experience

Christopher Busse, Head of Technical Training at Brasseler, explains: “A successful start to a traineeship requires space for interaction, structure and development. This is exactly what we create with our onboarding concept – intentionally in several steps. Like this, we lay the foundation for a traineeship that promotes young people’s professional and personal development. The goal for every trainee must be to strengthen their weaknesses and deepen their strengths. As instructors, we actively support our trainees in these efforts.”

Melanie Meier, Coordinator of Industrial Business Training, emphasizes: “The first few weeks are about building trust and providing orientation. Our goal is for trainees to identify with their tasks and find their place in the company. We can achieve this by giving them real impetus and the right tools from the very beginning. With the new Brasseler Academy, we are creating the conditions necessary to bring our guiding principle to life: Promoting talent, shaping the future.”
