Children collect for children: Brasseler donates carousel to the Westfälische Kinderdorf
Lemgo, 3 July, 2025
551 full stamp cards, 5,510 Euros in donations, and a new carousel for the “Spielberg” playground at the Kinderdorf Lipperland, a local children’s village: That’s the result of a special campaign during the Brasseler Family Days 2024. Around 3,500 employees, retirees and family members took the opportunity on October 5 and 6 to get to know the company Brasseler and enjoy special moments together. Visitors explored the Brasseler campus in Lemgo on various walking tours and discovered the different divisions of the company.
Stamp rally for a good cause
One part of the program was aimed specifically at children. Before the tour, the children were given stamp cards, and at each of the twelve different stations they could collect a stamp until the card was full. The topics covered included laser technology, packaging in the cleanroom, vocational training, values and guidelines as well as Brasseler’s international activities. Those who collected all the stamps received a small gift.
Brasseler donated 10 Euros to the Westfälische Kinderdorf “Lipperland” in the nearby town of Barntrup for every completed card. A total of 551 stamp cards were handed in, resulting in a donation of 5,510 Euros.
A new carousel for the “Spielberg”
The donated amount was used to purchase a new children’s carousel. It is now located at the central playground of the children’s village called “Spielberg”. This fulfills a long-held wish of the youngest children, who had been asking for a carousel for a long time.

Björn Hartmann, Head of Human Resources at Brasseler, explains: “The children really enjoyed the rally. At the same time, their enthusiasm helped to do something good for other children. As a company that attaches great importance to training and development, we see a valuable parallel in the work of the children’s village.”

Laura Fuchs, Corporate Communications Officer at Brasseler, adds: “The children’s village does an important job, and we are delighted to contribute to helping the children enjoy their free time. As a company with strong regional roots, it is important to us to support local organizations and thus take responsibility for our community.”
Prospects for young people
The Westfälische Kinderdorf supports children and young people who cannot be brought up by their parents. They live in families or residential groups within the village where they receive support to enable them to live a self-determined life. In addition to educational support, the children’s village also offers career prospects. In Barntrup, young people living in the children’s village are offered an apprenticeship in garden landscaping, painting and carpentry. The association also offers practice-integrated training to become a childcare worker and traineeships in office administration in Paderborn.
